Mindful Therapy For Millennials & Gen-Z

For a lot of Millennials and Gen-Zers, anxiety has become a frequent constant in our lives. From the aftermath of the Pandemic, to social media stress, work expectations, and relationship difficulties, it can seem like everything makes us anxious these days.

Anxiety can present itself in many ways, some of which we might not even be aware of! You might find yourself constantly worrying about all you need to get done or irritable around people you love. You may feel like you need to have it all together or that you’re just not enough in many of the arenas of your life. Along with these feelings, you might also notice stomach aches, tense shoulders, trouble sleeping, or panic attacks.

You might even feel depressed and unmotivated to get out of bed in the morning, or that your appetite has decreased, or even like you feel out of your body, as if life was just happening around you.

Maybe you’re even having relationship difficulties, or are burnt out at work, and find yourself grinding your teeth at night or turning to substances to cope.

Whatever the case, you feel like you are going in circles and can’t escape the burdens in your life. You know it’s time you sought out professional help, but the options are overwhelming.

You want something that will help you figure out why you’ve been feeling so bad and that will help you feel centered again.

This is where mindfulness can help.

About My Practice

My therapeutic philosophy is centered on helping people create balance in their lives. Society, relationships, and cultural norms can put many strains on us. When we focus too much or too little on one aspect of our lives, we can start to feel a lack of fulfillment in the others. Through using CBT, ACT, and Attachment theory, I help my clients explore their values, goals, core beliefs, intergenerational family trauma, and maladaptive behaviors in order to create more balance in all areas of their lives. I encourage experimentation with new behaviors, acceptance of emotions, and above all, playing an active role in one’s own life. You are the catalyst for change in your own life. I’m here to empower you and guide you through the process.

I consider myself to be a very interactive therapist while in session. Though I leave room for processing, I find it valuable to talk through problems to find solutions for them, and like to have patients leaving sessions feeling like they gained a new insight about themselves or have a new skill they can implement their daily lives. Some of the modalities I employ are mindfulness, guided visualization, creative arts, and somatic interventions. Each session is unique to the individual I am working with, and I encourage all of my clients to be collaborative and voice their needs to make sure they are finding the value they require to create actionable change in their lives.
